SB Corp recognizes CARD Bank and CARD SME Bank as valuable development partners

CARD Bank and CARD SME Bank were recognized by the Small Business Corporation (SB Corp) as outstanding development partners in its recently concluded 26th anniversary celebration held in Shangri-La Makati on July 28, 2017.

The recognition is an annual tradition of SB Corp to give honor to its partners and clients who delivered crucial means in achieving its development goal and financial targets in the past year.

Both CARD Bank and CARD SME Bank are partners of SB Corp in helping the micro, small, and medium enterprises to start, grow, and expand their business.

The two banks are proud member institutions of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI) that aims to eradicate poverty by providing various products, programs, and services that contribute to the development of every family it serves. CARD Bank and CARD SME Bank offer micro and SME loans to more than 2.6 million clients all over the country. With the help of other institutions under CARD MRI, they also provide micro-insurance, livelihood, education, health, and livelihood to their clients.

“The recognition given by the SB Corp fuels us to reach and assist more of the unserved and underserved communities in the country,” Ms. Marivic Austria, CARD Bank President and CEO, said in an interview. Meanwhile, Mr. Aristeo Dequito, the president and CEO of CARD SME Bank vows that the banking institution will continue to step up in providing the best products and services suited to its clients.

SB Corp is a government financial institution that implements comprehensive policies and programs to assist MSMEs in all areas, including but not limited to finance and information services; training and marketing.
